Not Just More ‘Big Ideas’
Commonsense Ideas That Matter the most
to Our Communities & to You
If it matters to you, it matters to Chris.
Our District, District 54B, is comprised of a diverse tapestry of families, single professionals, young entrepreneurs, established business owners, farmers, students, retirees, and educators spanning rural, metro, and township areas of Shakopee, Prior Lake, and Jordan.
Each of these groups has its own concerns, and within each group, there are individuals with varying viewpoints on priorities and government responsibilities. However, there is one thing we can all agree on, and that is that nothing can be accomplished without cooperation and a willingness to find common ground.

Additionally, because of the growing and thriving population of our District (54B), residents and business owners often also voice concerns about infrastructure, housing affordability and housing accessibiity, transportation, local resources, public safety services, and general human rights for all persons.
We may not see eye-to-eye on everything, but Chris believes there is common ground to be found. When we work to find common ground and focus our energies, we can accomplish great things together—things that will strengthen and support our communities in the years to come.
Chris Kartschoke is a common-sense, community-rooted small business owner, dad, and neighbor running to bring integrity, fairness, and a strong focus on business and education to the Minnesota House for District 54B. His campaign is about keeping Prior Lake, Shakopee, Jordan, and the townships a great place to live, work, raise families, and retire—by listening first and always putting people ahead of party.
Care and Common Sense
A neighbor, not a party Prop.
Chris describes his political philosophy as grounded in common-sense and integrity, and he is committed to independent thinking rather than being a rubber stamp for any party agenda. He believes most people in 54B are moderate, hard-working, and family-oriented—and that their representative should reflect those same traits.
Rooted in District 54B
Chris has lived in the district since 2001, raised three children here, and has been an active member of St. Michael Church, the Prior Lake schools, local chambers of commerce, and local youth sports organizations. He loves the district’s parks, lakes, trails, and farmland and wants to protect the character of these communities while supporting smart growth and opportunity.
Fairness, opportunity, and respect for everyone.
Chris believes the law should treat everyone equally—no special treatment and no group left behind—and that every person deserves respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or political affiliation. He wants 54B to be one of the premier places to live in Minnesota by ensuring people can access good jobs, safe communities, and a clean environment.
A pro-business, pro-education problem solver.
Chris has worked for major companies like Wells Fargo and General Electric, and now owns a small window-treatment franchise, providing him with insight into how government policy affects businesses of every size. He pairs that experience with a deep commitment to fully funding and strengthening education at all levels, from early childhood through career and technical training.
Accessible, listening representation.
Chris is committed to being one of the most reachable legislators in Minnesota, publishing his phone number, attending community meetings, and seeking out people who disagree with him because that’s how his thinking grows. He wants every resident—farmers, small business owners, parents, students, seniors—to feel heard, even when they don’t agree with him on every issue.
“Listening with intent is the Cornerstone of success, and it’s why Chris succeeds at Business and Family. It’s why he’ll succeed in making our communities better - Stronger.”
— Richard T., Business Owner
The best way to get to know Chris and his plan for our district is to come out and meet him, talk to him, and hear about his vision. See how it aligns with you and your values, and give him an opportunity to hear from you and what’s important to your family and business.
